go through (sorry for the photo bomb). In any case, here’s the recap:

We spent the weekend hanging with family, celebrating a new addition that’s right around the corner (I’m going to be a first-time aunt), and even catching a spring training baseball game. The weather was perfect and waking up with the warm rays of sun beaming through the window felt good. The cows are a bigger and bigger hit with Hooper each time we come to visit.
We returned home with more than we anticipated. Sarah, as I mentioned before, had a horrible ear infection in both ears and Hooper contracted rotavirus (possibly unrelated, who knows). In any case, it was a lovely drive and a nice time spent with those we love.
Side note: Special congrats to Vera for winning the DiaNoche Designs giveaway.

  • so, how did your boys do at the baseball game? I’m tempted to take my 2 yr old, but I’m a big chicken and don’t want to spend the day apologizing to the people around us…

    • You know, they did surprisingly well. I can’t say I thought it would be enjoyable, so I went with the expectation that I’d be that mom running around with her toddler. So advice numero uno: have realistic expectations. But they didn’t need to get out of the seat much. Hooper was easily distracted with snacks and actually did watch some of the game. I breastfed Van twice. We left in the 7th inning when Van was clearly just ready for a nap. If you’re set on going, I may show up an inning or two late and bring a grab bag of tricks. I brought lollipops, cuz they last a long time πŸ˜‰ Also, it was a spring training game, so there were empty seats around us (but not a lot). I don’t think* anyone was annoyed. The old men behind us probably liked seeing my tit from time to time. Whatevs. Good luck. Shoot me an email and let me know how it goes πŸ˜‰

  • Great pictures again. The boys are so lucky to have a farm in their lives! I can’t get over how big the Dodgers spring training stadium is. We’ll have to go there next time.

Also, something about Hooper’s knees makes my heart melt.
