A photo journal comprised of my thoughts on motherhood and other life happenings, as well as some of professional work as a photographer. Southern California is home.
I finally decided to buckle down and experiment with the video capabilities on my camera. In the past, I’ve used my iPhone for all my family videos. Any videographers out there wanna show me the ropes? Ha.
Hi Ashley. I absolutely love your pictures and your photo style but… this video is a little bit dull… Don’t get me wrong. The frames are okay, your kids look cute but still it’s lacking something. It’s lacking your vibe.
So whilst I sit here in the dreary light coming in from the gloomy weather outside, those glimpses of bright blue sea and clear skies are not making me jealous at all….
Love this video so very much, and their bleached blonde hair?! Beautiful!
I love the video! I’m wondering how you keep the camera so steady, particularly when you are moving behind the kids? Any tips? I have the hardest time with stabilization…
I wish that was something I could take credit for. I edited it in iMovie. And by edit, I mean all I did was click that little camera stabilizer button and applied it to all the frames. Easy peasy.
I love it! Also, hand hat spotted around 2:30 lol
Hat hand is even better in live action! Your kids are delicious. This was a fun treat. Thanks for sharing. xx. tamara
Ya, hand hat has a special place in my heart. Filed under: things I never want to forget.

Maybe you skipped over the part where I said it’s the first video I’ve made using my Canon and that I have little to no idea what I’m doing?
Hahahahahaha
Loved it! I need a little vacay with the family soon. By the way, what kind of Canon did you get?
