The calendar says it’s fall and minus the fact it’s getting darker a lot earlier, it still feels a lot like summer here in California. That didn’t stop us from diving into what has become one of our favorite fall traditions, however, and we set out to Casper’s Wilderness Park to BBQ and, of course, hunt for bears.
Hoping that despite the busy fall schedule we can continue with this fall tradition; so simple and yet so enjoyable (minus the fact that baths are a must as soon as we get home). If only they allowed dogs… that’s my only complaint.

Two handsome boys and one crazily talented lady = this. Perfection.
Loving the new blog format btw.
Thanks, all credit goes to my girl Janet 🙂
You take the BEST photos.
Why thank you, that’s awfully kind of you to say.
Love that place and love these images. So much goodness
Thanks, Drae.
Your photos are always stunning. Childhood at its most natural and perfect. 🙂
Thank you so much 🙂
That one shot of just the tree. The giant tree. It resembles lightning striking down. Maybe it’s just me. Anyways, you take the simplest moments and make them stunning. Are there any bodies of water there? Never been to Caspers and always looking for new spots to camp or explore. This isn’t terribly far from us. I checked it out online but couldn’t tell if there’s water or not. That always makes camping more fun 🙂
I love that one of the tree too. There should be water there, but it’s all dried up… not a drop. It’s still a great spot, worth exploring… but ya, no water.
love your work and the way you capture your kids 🙂
Always good. Looks like the boys had fun. Loving the new blog format. Looks fresh.
