One night, as some friends and I walked out of our book club meeting, I said, “Lately I’ve been feeling very wistful. Childhood is speeding by so fast. It’s such a cliche, but it’s true.”
“I know exactly what you mean,” one friend answered. “Whenever I get annoyed by the mess stuck to our refrigerator door, or about having to keep a stroller in the hallway of my apartment, I remind myself that these are the good old days.” –Gretchen Rubin (as seen here too)
Side note: Many congrats to Darby, you are the winner of the Little Sweet Pea
Van’s pretty attached to that watermelon:-) Nature’s candy….yum!
Every day is part of the “good old days.” It’s a good thing to remember 🙂
I love how Van devoured that watermelon. He’s so funny.
Van looks like he’s heading towards a food coma in that 6th picture. Always love your pictures! I have a teenage daughter and trust me when I say this…..it was all fun and games (literally) until she hit jr high.
Watermelon, Radio Flyer, sidewalk chalk. That is a big part of summer around here. Throw in a bunch of smiles and that’s pretty much it.
